The performance was created by the dance group ADARTE (Siena, Italy) within the framework of the “WOMAN MADE” International Program. It is for a Program for the exploitation, dissemination and implementation of international female choreographic productions. Starting from Italy, the projects radiate with a strong vision in the direction of other 8 countries, with the aim of achieving common goals such as placing women in leading and powerful roles in work contexts, overcoming a sterile social competition between men and women, overcoming entrenched prejudices and gender stereotypes. The International Dance Center & Theatrou Milos has the honor of being the organization – supporter of the Program, and the sole representative of Greece. The show will end with the participation of the dance students of Milo (Melina Alexandraki, Dimitra Apostolakou, Erietta Kasapidou, Kyriaki Kyritsis, Marilia Malli, Eleftheria Batsi, Kyriaki Petraki, Chrysoula Prevena, Angeliki Tzabazaki, Despina Tzabazaki) with professor Filio Louvari who will present an excerpt of the performance “Like Alice in Wonderland”while a participatory discussion will follow with the public and presentation of the Program.

“LA BAMBOLA” is a pop-dream fresco dedicated to women and the female stereotypes that define the value system of our social habits. On stage, a woman’s body goes through different moods, embodying fragility, strength, tenderness, desire, fear and aggression, a hymn to courage and the desire to “be”.
